We the members of the Postharvest Technology Society of Nigeria, a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization do provide for ourselves and all others who are interested, a Journal of Postharvest Technology (JOPHAT), an international OPEN access journal inspired from open access minds that want to promote sincere and transparent academic publishing and other forms of knowledge dissemination to all who have need for such knowledge.

To promote the understanding of factors that affect postharvest losses and storability of agricultural produce. To advance and develop the science and technology of all aspects of postharvest technology in Nigeria.
